Multi-View Budgeted Learning under Label and Feature Constraints Using Label-Guided Graph-Based Regularization

چکیده
Budgeted learning under constraints on both the amount of labeled information and the availability of features at test time pertains to a large number of real world problems. Ideas from multi-view learning, semisupervised learning, and even active learning have applicability, but a common framework whose assumptions fit these problem spaces is non-trivial to construct. We leverage ideas from these fields based on graph regularizers to construct a robust framework for learning from labeled and unlabeled samples in multiple views that are non-independent and include features that are inaccessible at the time the model would need to be applied. We describe examples of applications that fit this scenario, and we provide experimental results to demonstrate the effectiveness of knowledge carryover from training-only views.

Struture-aware Classification Using Supervised Dictionary Learning
In this work, we propose a supervised dictionary learning algorithm, that attempts to preserve the local geometry in both dimensions of the data. A graph-based regularization explicitly takes into account the local manifold structure of the data, and a second graph regularization gives similar treatment to the feature domain and helps in learning a more robust dictionary. Both graphs can be con...
متن کاملMulti-view, Multi-label Learning with Deep Neural Networks
Deep learning is a popular technique in modern online and offline services. Deep neural network based learning systems have made groundbreaking progress in model size, training and inference speed, and expressive power in recent years, but to tailor the model to specific problems and exploit data and problem structures is still an ongoing research topic. We look into two types of deep ‘‘multi-’...
متن کاملMLIFT: Enhancing Multi-label Classifier with Ensemble Feature Selection
Multi-label classification has gained significant attention during recent years, due to the increasing number of modern applications associated with multi-label data. Despite its short life, different approaches have been presented to solve the task of multi-label classification. LIFT is a multi-label classifier which utilizes a new strategy to multi-label learning by leveraging label-specific ...
متن کاملMulti-Graph-View Learning for Complicated Object Classification
In this paper, we propose to represent and classify complicated objects. In order to represent the objects, we propose a multi-graph-view model which uses graphs constructed from multiple graph-views to represent an object. In addition, a bag based multi-graph model is further used to relax labeling by only requiring one label for a bag of graphs, which represent one object. In order to learn c...
متن کاملGraph Transduction as a Non-cooperative Game
Graph transduction is a popular class of semi-supervised learning techniques, which aims to estimate a classification function defined over a graph of labeled and unlabeled data points. The general idea is to propagate the provided label information to unlabeled nodes in a consistent way. In contrast to the traditional view, in which the process of label propagation is defined as a graph Laplac...
